Last week, MEG donated a wide selection of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies to St. Luke’s Hospital in Malawi. The gift is currently being shipped to Malawi in a 20ft. container.

St. Luke’s Hospital is a mission hospital situated in a rural area in the south of the country. It provides services such as 24 hour emergency room, obstetrics, laboratory, radiology, operation room, adult and paediatric high dependency unit and private in and out-patient care, free of charge. This can only be achieved with the support of local and international donors.

Malawi is a country with low life expectancy and high infant mortality. The population suffers from poverty and diseases such as malaria, HIV, TBC, diarrhoea and malnutrition.

MEG is proud to assist St. Luke’s in their goals and to provide relief to the prevailing needs of Malawi’s people.
